FRANKLIN, March 6.—A negro man by the name of Bob Sarver was taken from the custody of officers to-nightm as he was being passed into the 8 o’clock train for the purpose of safety, by a posse of indignant and resolute men, and lynched. The crime was an attempted rape on a Miss Ruley, a school-girl sixteen years old, who was on her way home from school. Her home is in the western portion of this county.
