18 Indicted For Lynching

OWENSBORO, May 12.--Indictments were returned here today against 18 well-known citizens of McLane [sic] growing out of the lynching of the negro William Potter at the Opera-house at Livermore about three weeks ago. Three of the indictments charge murder. The mob victim is accused of having killed a white man, William Mitchell outside a poolroom in Livermore. The men accused of murder are Bliston and Jesse Schroeder and Lawrence Mitchell.
