ANOTHER NEGRO LYNCHED FOR THE “USUAL CRIME”
Louisville, Ky., July 7. – A special from Shelbyville, Ky., says “Lon” Beard, the negro who was arrested charged with assaulting a white woman at Normandy, was lynched there to-day. He was being taken to Shelbyville for safe keeping, and when the train reached Normandy twenty-five men entered the coach and riddled Beard with bullets as he sat in the car.
